The Commish should never bring more attention upon the officials, period. They're like offensive linemen that way: the better they do their job, the less you notice. It's like watching a game broadcast with a former D-lineman in the booth who spends the whole game complaining about the offensive linemen holding during pass protection. For one, it's unpleasant to listen to, but for another, it makes people think those linemen are worse than they may actually be. Agreed on the PR blunder.
