Football without Fulmer will be lost. I know that there are some that think that his time has come, but we all know it will not be the same with out him. A win means a lot to people, but there are some that think that it is the most important thing. Well I have news for you all it is not. Morals and values that have been taught to these fine men are what is important. I think that those things will really be the most important thing that they will carry with them out of UT. Some will not go on to play in the pros and that leaves them with getting everyday jobs like you and I. To play at UT with Fulmer as my coach would be the greatest achievement that I could ask for. I will miss Coach Fulmer and I would like to thank him for the memories and say to him "It is not always about the W, but about what you teach as a individual" Thanks a bunch COACH!!!!!

@FulmerFan
I understand your sadness. I have always been a huge Fulmer fan, and I hope and pray that the Orange Nation gives him the send-off he deserves. I'll be honest, if he runs through that T on senior day, it'll be all I can do not to cry.

I hate it that this is where we are, but at least we can make it a positive.

Fulmer has fallen behind the times. Tennessee is getting out-coached pure and simple. Recruitment is miserable, and it shows. Its the end of an era, but its an era that should have ended about 2 years ago.

With the impending announcement of Fulmer's resignation, it is time to look back on what Coach has done not only at Tennessee but lets compare his record to the entire nation. As I watched the South Carolina game the other night, on the screen they posted the coaches that have compared with Fulmers record; Joe Pa, Jim Tressell, Bobby Bowden, Steve Spurrier. Wouldn't you love to have one of them as the Coach for UT. Oh I forgot, we just ran one off that equals their status. I hope the Vol Nation is happy. I for one will miss Fulmer and will always show my respect to him because he earned it. By the way I will be pulling for Joe Pa's team in the BCS National Championship this year. A couple of years ago they said he had lost it, too.

I also have mixed feelings. As I said in my Manifesto, I have always been a huge Fulmer fan, and I hate to see it end this way. I think this program owes Fulmer so much. I also think that what we've been doing since 2002 it simply hasn't been working.

I hate to see Fulmer go -- especially this way -- but I suppose all things must come to an end. That said, I have even more respect for Fulmer that he is willing to put the program before himself, one more reason to hold him in high regard.

I think we now have three games to celebrate and cheer Phillip Fulmer, all that he has done, all that he has given, all that he has accomplished. He has earned that. This is how it should happen -- so we can honor what he has done and begin preparing for the future.

There's no shame in his resignation. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose. I respect Fulmer being man enough to put Tennessee first -- which is what I think he has always done.

I say we need to let him know how appreciative we are for what he has done, and come together as one fanbase behind this program.

happiness that a change is being made, yet the opposite because I've never known Tennessee football under anyone than Philip Fulmer...
