Rumor Mill: Hamilton asks to speak with Fulmer’s Agent

Just a quick sound bite that I felt was worth passing along.
Basilio »”>Tony Basilio is reporting this morning that Tennessee Volunteers’ athletic director Mike Hamilton has requested a meeting with Phillip Fulmer’s agent, Jimmy Sexton. Basilio reports that the meeting could occur as early as today.
Along with the embattled Fulmer, Sexton represents many college football coaches from across the country, including several which have been named as possible candidates to replace Fulmer, should he leave.
More on this as it develops…

Who else does he represent? Anyone know?
I updated the post to include a link to a list of folks Sexton represents — it’s pretty much a “Who’s Who” list of big name coaches.
law, we gonna keep it in the sexton family and go after gundy (and bring troop back)?
Good pickup on the news. Good grief, that guy has about half of the SEC coaches on his list.
Yeah, Sexton is the agent for pretty much half of the coaches of note across the country. As a lawyer, that raises some rather thorny conflict of interest issues that would take some real thought before I’d touch them. Of course, I’m betting that is all handled via the retainer agreement.
Still, Sexton’s sort of like one-stop-shopping.
I bet Sexton doesn’t mind the COI issue in the least. So much of coach-hiring is driven by booster interest that the COI is probably less of an issue than it appears. No matter who Sexton represents, there are probably only 2 or 3 potential HCs that would satisfy a sufficient number of boosters and Sexton can’t work around that.
