Sound Bites: Brett Favre Retiring
It was just announced that Green Bay Packers’ Quarterback Brett Favre is retiring, and will not return for another season.
This comes only hours after Randy Moss re-signed with the New England Patriots. It was well documented that Favre had asked the Packers’ front-office for more receivers and playmakers, and had specifically asked that Moss be brought to Green Bay.
Thus, I guess Brett will simply go back to wearing his Wranglers, and rolling around in the dirt…

The end of the end of an era.
I might be the only guy to say this, but if Favre retired because he didn’t get his way regarding Moss, then the Packers don’t need him any longer.
Randy Moss wasn’t going to make the Packers so much better that it would keep them in the hunt for a Super Bowl. They need help along their offensive line. Not to mention, would Favre been able to produce again another year older? Maybe. Maybe not. Moss or otherwise, it’s Aaron Rodgers time.
You know, I’d like to think that Favre left just because he felt it was time. If, however, he did leave because of the Randy Moss issue, then I agree the “Green Bell Peppers” don’t need him as well.
I’ve never thought of Favre as a primadonna, but this is a bit of a primadonna move if it is the case.
JMHO…
LOL – Green Bell Peppers – Where have I heard that before?
