Great Win for the BasketVols, and a Little News

Author: - Despite allowing a scrappy Vanderbilt team stay in the game a little longer than they probably should have, Bruce and the Barbarians managed to beat the No 16 Commodes of Vanderbilt 80-60 Thursday night. Wayne Chism stood out with 18 points and 18 rebounds in the nationally televised contest. There’s no question about it ladies and gentlemen: The BasketVols are for Real! Hats off to Coach Pearl and the BasketVols for another great win — their 10th in a row.
- On another Basketball note, the Vol Network has announced that Coach Pearl will serve as the color commentator for the Lady Vols game against Arkansas on January 24th. I for one can’t wait to hear Bruce help call the game — it’s bound to be entertaining…
- Finally, there is a good chance that the blog will be down for a day or so, as I get ready to switch over to the new-and-improved Gate 21, in the next day or so. If I do everything right, all of the current links should continue to be active. Be that as it may, there is always a possibility that something might “go missing.” Thanks to everyone who has been reading for the last two months — I plan on keeping Gate 21 going as long as I can, and I hope you like the new site…
