MILESTONE: Gate21.net reaches 1000 hits in under a month!
Just under a month ago, on 14 November, I started this blog not knowing if anyone would ever even look at my ramblings and rants. I just wanted to give it a whirl. Now, 26 days later Gate21.net has reached a milestone: 1000 hits!
Thanks to everyone who has given the site a look. I hope you like what you see, and will continue to come back. I promise, Gate21 is going to be here for a long time!

Gate, congrats on the milestone. The hard work will pay off soon. It’s all about back links and a solid reputation in the blogging world.
Couple of tips:
• Use the Continue Reading Story option. It’ll create more hits and will keep the main page clean.
• Use photos of chicks. We don’t like looking at Bobby Petrino.
• You cover Tennessee basketball. Put a solid, funny post together and send it to Sports by Brooks, The Big Lead, Epic Carnival, etc. Those guys will go easy on you and if they link in you’ll smoke that 1,000 mark in a day.
It only takes one killer post to create your space in the blogosphere.
• Did I say photos of chicks? Get in Facebook and find us some UT ladies.
• Finally, try to write everyday. Your site will be fresh and people will pay attention.
Hope this helps. Now put down the remote and get your ass in gear.
good tips. patience and persistence helps too
I started my blog in July and have over 100.000 hits. I found writing about all sports and the willingness to make fun of all teams, even your favorite helped me. Also free services like Digg and Techorati are useful. Busted Coverage said the most important thing though. Try to write everyday.
Btw congrats
Thanks for all the advice guys. I read all of your blogs regularly. I appreciate it.
